Privacy Policy

jeera is built on a single promise: your workout data never leaves your device. This policy explains what that means in practice.

Effective date: March 20, 2026

Overview

jeera is a workout tracker built on a single architectural promise: all data lives on your device. There are no accounts, no servers that store your workouts, and no analytics that report your behavior back to us. This is not a policy we layered on after building the product — it is how the product was designed from the first line of code.

Data Storage

All workout data — exercises, sets, weights, rest times, notes, and session history — is stored exclusively in SwiftData on your iPhone. If you use iCloud, your data may sync across your own Apple devices through your personal iCloud account, encrypted by Apple. jeera has no visibility into this sync. We do not operate any servers that receive, process, or retain your workout data.

Photos and Videos

jeera can attach photos and videos to workout sessions. When you do this, jeera stores only a reference to the asset in your Apple Photos library (a PHAsset identifier). The media file itself is never copied, moved, or uploaded. It stays exactly where it is — in your Photos library on your device. jeera requires photo library access only to read and display assets you explicitly select.

Apple Health

jeera integrates with Apple HealthKit to enhance your experience. With your permission, jeera reads heart rate data and body weight measurements from Health. jeera writes completed workout sessions and body weight entries to Health. All HealthKit data access is governed by Apple's HealthKit framework and your explicit permissions granted in the iOS Health app. You can revoke access at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.

Camera and Microphone

jeera requests camera access only when you choose to capture a progress photo or record a workout video. Microphone access is requested only if you use voice logging features. Neither camera nor microphone streams are recorded, transmitted, or stored outside of what you explicitly capture and save to your Photos library.

Third-Party Services

jeera uses RevenueCat to process in-app purchases and manage subscription state. RevenueCat receives a device-level identifier and purchase transaction data to validate your subscription. This is the only third-party service integrated into jeera. RevenueCat does not receive your workout data, health data, media, or any personally identifying information beyond what Apple provides in a standard in-app purchase transaction. jeera does not use the IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers). jeera does not use any advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or crash reporting SDKs that transmit data to third parties.

No Account Required

jeera does not have accounts. There is no sign-up, no email address collected, no username. Your workouts are yours — they exist on your device and nowhere else that jeera controls.

Children

jeera is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. jeera does not collect personal information in the first place, which means this constraint is inherently satisfied by the architecture.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes in a material way, we will note the change in the App Store release notes and update this page with a revised effective date. Because we do not collect email addresses or accounts, we cannot notify you directly — we rely on App Store update notes and this page.
